Spectrum Theatre Workshops

Artful IMPACT! connects professional teaching artists with area schools, students, educators and parents to provide creative arts experiences that enrich the academic environment. This programming allows participants to immerse themselves in an arts experience while supporting the academic curriculum.

Spectrum Theatre Workshops

A team of teaching artists come into your school and work with your special needs students to put on a shortened, modified version of a musical of your choice. The show is tailored to fit the needs of your students’ age group and abilities and will include music, movement and dance as well as utilizing students as part of the tech team. This is a great workshop for expanding Speech and Occupational Therapy exercises as well as working on social skills. It provides a fun and rewarding opportunity for teamwork and builds self esteem and confidence! Show standards such as “Wizard Of Oz”, “Oklahoma,” “Cats,” “Alice In Wonderland”, “High School Musical” and a Disney Showcase are examples of the types of musicals that have been successful. We can also take a classic story and write an original script with music. The possibilities are endless and very rewarding. Artful IMPACT! teaching artists find ways to make every participant shine.
